Hello Bees! I have a ring that my aunt left to my Mom which later became mine. I did not wear it often as I thought it was rather drab…she liked dark jewelry and I assumed it was an Amber or other dark stone. Plus it is too big for me. Well I read a bee’s thread on cleaning oil and dirt build up with baby oil and seeing how it made my diamonds sparkle I decided to try it on this ring (I had previously used soap and water on it. ) OMG! the stone revealed itself to be a beautiful bright yellow! In pics with flash it looks almost like a green stone though. I will look up a gemologist to talk to about it but for fun wondered what you all think. My guess is Citrine or Yrllow Sapphire or Yellow Topaz. My sister thinks it could be a Yellow diamond (this I doubt). So I will try to post accurate pics.
Sorry for huge pics! Not sure I captured the color accurately- it really is very yellow and sparkly!
